The E Pluribus Unum Project invites educators to its annual hybrid Pluralistic Education conference on Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., held both virtually and at Princeton University’s Carl A. Fields Center. This event offers a vital opportunity to explore Black history, Asian American history, Latine history, LGBTQIA+ history, and the history of solidarity among these groups in the civil rights movement.

The conference features keynote addresses by Princeton University’s Dr. Ruha Benjamin and Dr. Beth Lew-Williams. Following these, attendees can participate in workshops led by esteemed presenters such as Dr. Sohyun An, Dr. Noreen Naseem Rodriguez, Tony DelaRosa, Dr. Kaysha Corinealdi, Kate Okeson, Dr. Kim Pinckney, Gabriel Tanglao, Sundjata Sekou, and Dr. Rosetta Treece.
Workshop topics include fostering difficult conversations, teaching Asian American history in elementary classrooms, Du Boisian sociology of education and Black-Asian relationality, building Black and Asian American solidarity, teaching with courage in challenging times, denationalization in historical and comparative contexts and LGBTQIA+ inclusive content in the classroom.
