SUMMARY:General Strategies for Mainstream Educators of ELLs/MLs
DESCRIPTION:No matter what you do in education\, chances are that you will interact with an EL (English Learner) sooner rather than later. That is because all educators are educators of English Learners as these amazing students embark on their academic journeys. Unfortunately\, not many education programs focus on how to support ELs. This virtual workshop will identify English Learners and their different proficiency levels. Then participants will be introduced interactively to strategies and scaffolds to support English Learners at all proficiency levels in the mainstream classroom. Participants will be supplied with strategies and resources that can be implemented immediately.
