SUMMARY:Immigration Rights
DESCRIPTION:This one-hour workshop helps New Jersey educators understand the rights of immigrant students and families and the legal responsibilities of schools. Led by an immigration attorney or legal expert\, the session covers key protections in K–12 settings\, including students’ right to a free public education\, privacy requirements\, and limits on school cooperation with ICE. Through realworld scenarios\, educators learn how to respond appropriately\, support families\, and maintain a safe\, welcoming\, and legally compliant environment. \nPresented by NJEA & The Latino Institute. \n
