This professional development session enables teachers, paraprofessionals, and other stakeholders with practical strategies to create LGBTQ+ inclusive classrooms that meet New Jersey legal requirements while supporting all students’ wellbeing and belonging. Participants will learn age-appropriate ways to integrate LGBTQ+ perspectives across existing curriculum (K-12 lesson examples provided), use inclusive language that affirms diverse identities, and respond confidently to bias incidents, parent concerns, and colleague resistance.
