The NJEA Impact Conference will offer professional learning opportunities and programs designed for all members around wellness, professional practice, and more.

Event Description

Building on the success of the NJEA Transform Conference, the Impact Conference is set to offer an equally engaging and dynamic experience. The Impact Conference is designed to explore a range of topics crucial to empowering educators and fostering positive change. From the vital role of ESPs to special education, teacher leadership, healing and wellness,
technology, inclusive curricula and beyond, participants will delve into the key areas that have a significant impact on our state’s educational landscape.

Join us for an inspiring keynote, interactive workshops, wellness experiences and networking opportunities that will leave you motivated and equipped to make a lasting impact for students and communities.

Keynote Speaker

ARVIN ARJONA

Arvin Arjona is a highly accomplished dance teacher at Millburn High School. He was recognized for his outstanding inclusive teaching practices and advocacy for inclusive education by the New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education (NJCIE) in 2022. Arjona is renowned nationwide for his expertise in dance and his dedication to fostering inclusive learning environments.

Special Guest

NICHOLAS FERRONI

Nicholas Ferroni is a history teacher in his hometown of Union, New Jersey and is nationally recognized as a teacher and social activist who educates, mentors and inspires students to reach their goals while driving a national dialogue about education.

Wellness Activities With Andrew Nolan

Wellness Activities including Tai Chi Breathwork, Chair Yoga, Serenity Sound Bath and Guided Meditation presented by Andrew Nolan from Choice Wellness Center, Medford, New Jersey.

What to expect

The day begins at 7:30 a.m. with registration, breakfast, wellness activities, exhibits, BookSmiles and educator interviews with Nicholas Ferroni.

The formal program begins at 9 a.m. followed by a choice of 10 breakout sessions, lunch and whole group programs.

The day concludes at 4:15 p.m.
