Event Description
This workshop equips educators with a clear understanding of Multilingual Learners (MLLs) and how to support them effectively. Participants will examine the history and legal foundations of bilingual education, learn how to identify MLLs using WIDA screeners, and determine appropriate program placement. They will also explore how ACCESS data can guide instruction and engage with practical strategies to enhance classroom learning for MLLs. By the end, educators will be prepared to better recognize and meet the needs of multilingual students.
