New year, exciting new partnerships

By Dr. Kim Pinckney

We’re thrilled to announce the addition of two dynamic organizations as partners within the NJEA Consortium, further strengthening our commitment to impactful, inclusive education. Please join us in welcoming The E Pluribus Unum Project, Inc. (TEPUP) and MRKAF Films!

The E Pluribus Unum Project, Inc. (TEPUP): Championing Inclusive Education in New Jersey

Based right here in New Jersey, TEPUP is a powerful nonprofit dedicated to transforming K-12 education. Their mission resonates deeply with our own values: to foster an inclusive curriculum that authentically reflects the rich diversity of our public schools.

TEPUP understands that true educational equity requires a collaborative effort. They bring together students, parents, educators, policymakers, and community members to advocate for curricula that centers on the diverse communities and histories that have shaped our nation. By promoting accurate, engaging, and equitable resources, TEPUP empowers educators to create classrooms where every student feels seen and valued.

We’re incredibly excited to partner with TEPUP in their mission to mobilize diverse communities and build a more inclusive educational landscape across New Jersey. To learn more about their work, visit their website: https://tepup.org/

MRKAF Films: Illuminating History Through Documentary Storytelling

We’re also delighted to welcome MRKAF Films, a documentarian partnership led by Marcia Rock and Karen A. Frenkel. MRKAF Films is best known for their impactful five-part documentary series, “Family Treasures Lost and Found,” designed for the educational market, and their accompanying Discussion Guide. The 75-minute feature documentary of the same name and their other works serve as vital tools for educators and communities seeking to learn from the past and build a more just future.

Their dedication to preserving and sharing these crucial stories aligns perfectly with the NJEA Consortium’s commitment to providing access to meaningful, representative educational resources. We look forward to collaborating with MRKAF Films to further amplify their important work.

A Shared Vision for Impact

These new partnerships represent a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to support educators and communities. We are confident that by working together with TEPUP and MRKAF Films, we can create a more inclusive, equitable, and impactful educational experience for all.
