What is the World Peace Game?
The World Peace Game is a multitiered, three-dimensional role-playing game, originally designed for fourth grade students, that simulates real-world geo-political and foreign policy issues. Children are given a voice in the creation of world peace when they are thrust into an alternate world—one where kids make the decisions!
The game simulates global commerce, intercontinental trade, wars and land disputes, peace treaties, military strategies and so much more.
Today, the game has grown exponentially, with its influence expanding beyond elementary classrooms in the U.S. Through this revolutionary game, children, teenagers and adults from across the globe are learning to use collaboration, team building, critical thinking and imagination to solve global issues that reflect the troubles plaguing our societies in present day.

Meet World Peace Game founder, John Hunter
The World Peace Game Foundation was created by John Hunter, an award-winning, world-class educator, musician, filmmaker and author, who entrusted his students with real-world problem solving. His passion for educating is matched only by his willingness to grant his students autonomy in their studies, by leaving space for their creativity and individuality.
In 1978, John Hunter led his first session of the World Peace game, igniting a flame that still burns to this day.
Hunter recognizes that children are the policy decision-makers of the future, and the fate of humanity rests in their capable hands. He understands that shying away from harsh realities will not prepare children to make positive impacts.
We must allow children the space to explore and challenge their understanding of their environment. The world can be a scary, violent place, full of complex ideas and differing beliefs that give rise to conflict. Learning to navigate disagreements, diffuse tensions and communicate amid these challenges are the first steps to obtaining peace.
